Drybrush Techniques
Drybrush Techniques are a series of strokes designed to soften or add texture to brush work. Typically drybrush uses a brush that is fairly dry but which is holding paint media. Sometimes it is used to spread or soften an area that is already painted. Sometimes it is used to produce a series of fine or irregular and fine lines.
Brush which are excellent for use with drybrush techniques such as blending, hatching and cross-hatching. Different bristle materials produce a wide array of drybrush results. Drybrush can add a large number of character to painting.
